PGA of America CEO Seth Waugh guides the business and overall strategy of one of the world’s largest sports organizations, serving its nearly 29,000 PGA Professionals. Waugh served a prior term as an Independent Director on the PGA Board of Directors.

Waugh spent 13 years at Deutsche Bank, including 10 years as CEO of the Americas. He also served as Deutsche Bank Americas Advisory Board Chairman. For several years, he championed the Women on Wall Street Conference, to advance opportunities for women in the financial services sector.

Waugh holds a B.A. in Economics and English from Amherst College.

Dirk Ziff is Managing Partner of Ziff Capital Partners, a private investment firm established in 2014. Prior to ZCP, Mr. Ziff founded Ziff Brothers Investments in 1992. ZBI was the primary investment vehicle of the Ziff family and related entities and has been involved with the founding of a large number of successful investment vehicles. Prior to managing ZBI with his brothers, Dirk worked in the publishing and broadcast industries. Dirk has lived in North Palm Beach with his wife Natasha since 2008.

Dirk holds a B.A. in English Literature from Columbia University, and an MBA with distinction from Harvard.

Gil is the founder and the President of Hanse Golf Course Design. Since the firm’s inception in 1993, he has been involved in a hands-on capacity with each project that the firm has undertaken. The firm was founded on the principles of creating an intentionally small design group that takes a personal interest in the design and construction of each course. Prior to forming Hanse Golf Course Design, Gil received a Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from Cornell University and worked for Tom Doak at Renaissance Golf Design, from 1989 to 1993.

Original Designs – Over the 27 years that the firm has been in existence we have completed, or have under way, 22 original designs. Some of these include: Boston Golf Club, Streamsong Black, Pinehurst Course 4, The Olympic Course in Rio de Janeiro, Castle Stuart Golf Links, Ohoopee Match Club, The Cradle at Pinehurst Resort and our first original design Craighead Links at The Crail Golfing Society in Scotland. Projects currently under construction include The New Course at Les Bordes in France, PGA Frisco in Texas and CapRock Ranch in Valentine, Nebraska.

Restorations and Renovations – We have built relationships with over 40 clubs providing restoration and renovation services for their courses. Some of our historic restorations include Merion Golf Club, Winged Foot Golf Club, The Los Angeles Country Club, Fishers Island Club, Sleepy Hollow Country Club, Quaker Ridge Golf Club, The Country Club, Oakland Hills Country Club, Baltusrol Golf Club, Aronimink Golf Club, Southern Hills Country Club, and Tokyo Golf Club. Renovation projects include The Vineyard Golf Club, Doral Resort, Narin & Portnoo Links (Ireland), and TPC Boston.

Over his career he was responsible for managing the Private Wealth Management business globally, the Equity Institutional Sales business and also starting the Prime Brokerage business working with the hedge fund community. Dan and his family have lived in Palm Beach for many years and Dan is currently the Chairman of the Retirement Board for the Town of Palm Beach. Dan is also Co-Chairman of Wealth Partners Capital Group.

Christopher J. Williams is Chairman of Siebert Williams Shank & Co., America’s largest women and minority-owned investment bank. Chris previously served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Williams Capital Group, L.P. from 1994-2019. Williams’ career includes senior roles at Lehman Brothers and Jefferies & Company prior to founding the WCG in 1994.

Mr. Williams is a member of the board of directors of Ameriprise Financial, the Clorox Company, Cox Enterprises, Inc. and Union Pacific Corporation. He also served for ten years on the Wal Mart Stores, Inc., board of director. The first woman elected to serve as an Officer of the PGA of America, PGA Honorary President and PGA Master Professional Suzy Whaley is the PGA Director of Instruction for the Country Club at Mirasol in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. After serving two years as PGA Secretary, and two years as Vice President, Whaley was elected as the PGA of America’s first female President at the 2018 PGA Annual Meeting. She steered the Association through the onset of the global pandemic, leading to the establishment of the nearly $8 million Golf Emergency Relief Fund for golf industry personnel in need and an unprecedented growth in rounds played using social distancing protocols established in conjunction with the CDC and Back2Golf.

Recognized as one of GOLF’s “Top 100 Teachers in America” and with the Metropolitan Golf Association’s Distinguished Service Award in 2019, Whaley’s resume includes numerous other teaching awards: Golf Digest Top 50 Instructor, LPGA Top 50 Instructor, and many more.

Whaley holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of North Carolina.

Davis Sezna has designed the concepts for high-end restaurants across the country. A lifelong lover of golf and former college golfer at the University of Georgia, he always knew he wanted to be in the golf hospitality business and opened his first restaurant (Klondike Kate’s in Newark, Delaware) in 1980. Sezna founded the 1492 Hospitality Group in 1990, and built his first golf course — Hartefeld National in Avondale, Pennsylvania, in 1995. Today, he and his son Will are business partners in GTE Partners, a turf equipment company based near Tampa, Florida, and the largest independent seller and exporter of pre-owned golf course equipment internationally. Scezna is a graduate of the University of Georgia.

Dan Baker is a 28 year PGA Member who has held a plethora of positions across the industry as a Tournament Director and athlete representative at Octagon. Baker is the only person in modern history to be the Tournament Director of a significant USGA, PGA of America and PGA TOUR event.

Charles Dillahunt is the Strategic Adjunct to the CEO and CPO for the PGA of America, one of the world’s largest sports organizations. In his role, he works closely with the Chief Executive and Chief People Officers to ensure that inclusion and the PGA’s value based culture is embedded throughout the whole Association, with particular emphasis on communications and partnership development as they pursue a game, workforce and supply chain that mirror America.

Tasked with developing strategic diverse multimedia and supplier inclusion partnerships across multiple areas of difference, including minority-, women-, LGBT-, Veteran-, and disabled owned businesses, he also works to ensure the success stories of the PGA of America’s inclusion efforts are being shared with all audiences by internal and external mediums.

Dillahunt holds a B.A. in Philosophy and a Minor in Business from Wabash College.
